And It's an Election Year!

People are ready for change and we are stepping up to help! We are gearing up for our best summer yet, filled with opportunities for our fans and bands to get involved and spend some of that political energy we all have. It's time to get hands on, and make this summer one of activism and outreach!

With last year's nonprofit area being such a success, we have a huge job ahead of us this year. Our goal has always been to improve upon years past, and that means this year we really need your help! We need organizations, volunteers, bands, labels, and sponsors of all types that are interested in supporting our tour's numerous charitable endeavors.

So please, take a moment to visit www.unitetheunited.org and join the foundation that is growing public service in our national community of over half a million attending fans, and millions of internet users.

Many of you may know me personally by now, my name is Sumner, I run the area. I want to thank everyone for your involvement in past years, and would like to ask you again to please pass this letter on to any great new organizations, or chapters of your organization, that you think would benefit from participation in the Vans Warped Tour 2008.

As a result of more people Taking Action! last year than ever before, we've decided it's time to streamline the process of getting involved. This year, all nonprofit participants must register via www.unitetheunited.org It's easy to do, and has a load of great benefits for you!

First and foremost, this is the initial step in consideration for involvement in local shows. Setting up a table, running a promotional element, or canvassing the Vans Warped Tour is a great way of getting new members or volunteers to grow your organization. You may also solicit donations and distribute information to a demographic that is full of our future leaders and needs your strong ideas.

Second, our web promotions reach millions of young and old alike. The Vans Warped Tour has been around for 14 years now! With generations of dedicated fans investigating our line-ups and news bulletins, millions of people may be exposed to your organization, even if they don't actually come to the show. That's right, your logos and links can be incorporated into our websites, but first we have to have them.

Third, Unite the United is a foundation representing the Producers' and Fans' support of grassroots nonprofit work. We donate thousands of dollars to valuable charities annually, and we don't donate to people we don't know.

So please, come take part in our growing community of activists, environmentalists, volunteers, and revolutionaries. Let's change the world people!
